The Opportunity

Based at our Dandenong site and reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role works closely with our Manufacturing, Planning and Quality teams, to produce high-quality components that meet our client’s specifications and quality standards.  This role will be responsible for carrying out all preparation, set-ups and troubleshooting for a range of injection moulding machines to ensure that manufacturing is efficient with minimal waste.

The role is a full-time, permanent Night Shift opportunity.

Your key responsibilities will be: -

Production

  • Setting machines up for production and trial scenarios
  • Ensure quality control and checking of mouldings before production commences and the product complies with specifications
  • Machine start-up and shut down
  • Improve overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Optimising and maintaining machine cycle times
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and mould dies
  • Attending breakdowns and minimising downtime
  • Work with the Production Team Leader and Production Teams to ensure the appropriate production quantities are maintained
  • Actively reduces waste
  • Maintains a clean and tidy working environment according to site standards

 About You

You will have a mechanical background with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, a friendly and patient disposition, an ability to engage others, and want to contribute to working with a growing and innovative company.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Solid Mechanical/Technical knowledge
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in the use with In Mould Labelling
  • Passionate about quality and safety
  • Results-focused and able to work under tight time frames
  • Strong team player
  • Highly self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and operates with autonomy
  • Current Forklift licences is be preferred.

Relocation will be paid for the right candidate.
