Trinity Mining Services is looking for Diesel Fitter, Auto Electrician, and Ventilation Officer, to work with our client in Charter Towers, North Queensland. These roles are for temporary to permanent role, depending on experience, and in 8/6 or 7/7 roster. DIDO, BIBO, or FIFO are options for these roles.
Diesel Fitter
Scope of work:
- Work cooperatively with the supervisor to maintain the mobile equipment.
- Complete assigned work and associated paperwork.
- Assist other trades with their work when required.
- Support the supervisor by participating in root cause analysis activities.
- Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations and company policies and procedures.
- Diagnose equipment faults.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification – Diesel Fitter
- At least 2 years of experience in mobile plant maintenance in a mining environment.
- Experience in following mining equipment is advantageous - Sandvik DD421 Development Drill, Epiroc S7C Simba Production Drill, CAT R2900 Loader, CAT R1700 Loader, and Epiroc MT65 Truck
- Ability to read a hydraulic & electrical schematic.
- Use electronic tooling to trouble shoot faults.
- Valid Manual Driver’s license
- Airconditioning license, Overhead gantry crane ticket, High Risk Work License (desirable)
Auto Electrician
Scope of work:
- Perform diagnostic electrical tests and undertake electrical repairs on the underground mobile equipment and underground light vehicle fleet.
- Install new electrical systems as required.
- Complete assigned work and associated paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and standards.
- Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations and company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety through positive leadership.
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Always wear Personal Protective Equipment while in the production environment.
- Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions.
- Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements.
- Positive re-enforcement and communication of all safety related requirements
Requirements:
- Trade Qualification - Auto Electrician.
- At least 2 years of experience in mobile plant maintenance in a mining environment.
- Experience with CAN bus system. Remote control systems experience is desirable.
- High Risk Work License – EWP
- Working Safely at Heights
- Ability to diagnose electrical faults within equipment systems.
- Airconditioning Licence.
- Ability to install electrical systems.
- Valid Manual Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment - G Scan, Electronic Technician.
Ventilation Officer
Scope of work:
- Deliver Secondary and Primary Vent Surveys on a timely manner.
- Maintain the Current Ventsim model onsite, for all mining areas underground.
- Create fire and Refuge Chamber simulations on Ventsim.
- Provide feedback on all Vent requirements or deficiencies to operations.
- Regular inspections of the underground workings.
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reporting.
- Helping in a Production Engineering role when needed.
- Other duties that they are trained and competent for, including assisting underground operations when required.
- Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations and company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety through positive leadership.
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Always wear Personal Protective Equipment while in the production environment.
- Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions.
- Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements.
- Positive re-enforcement and communication of all safety related requirements
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Mine Engineering, a Mining-related discipline, or studying to achieve the qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience as Ventilation Officer in mining industry.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft software - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is desirable.
- Ventilation Officer training is desirable.
- Knowledge in VentSim software is desirable.
- Must possess technical Skills in Deswik.
