The OpportunityThe
National Channel Sales Manager is a strategic go-to-market leader who will sit on the Home Appliances (HA) leadership team and will be responsible for building the HA end-to-end retail strategy, planning and execution in VIC. This role reports directly to the Head of Division and will also involve strong leadership, development and succession planning of the National Account Managers (NAM) team in VIC.
Role and ResponsibilitiesLead retail sales strategy for the VIC Channel Home Appliances DivisionTranslating the go-to-market strategy into actionable, quantitative plans and clear objectives and delivering on sales outcomesNegotiation and management of commercial terms and associated approvalsBuild out the sales capability and sales team to deliver profitable sales growthIdentify and design process improvements, making Samsung simpler and easier to do business with, using innovative and creative thinking to make smarter, simpler and customer centric processes, which are scalable and reduce the need for manual workarounds.Coordinating the gathering of market intelligence and monitoring competitors' sales strategies and products, campaigns and events to optimise market shareDevelop and maintain strong internal & external stakeholder relationships to ensure successThe nature of this role and level of responsibility may require reasonable additional hours over and above 37.5 hours per week and may also require work outside of ordinary hours.
Skills and Qualifications10+ years of B2C Retail
Channel Sales/Account Management experience within a fast-paced corporate environment, ideally, within the Consumer Electronics industryOpen to transferrable experience in other industries (FMCG, Consumer Goods etc.)Able to lead retail, sales and go-to-market strategy with strong retail sales operational knowledgeExperience in leading a team of National Account Managers and able to motivate, inspire, coach and mentor the teamProven ability to establish, build, lead and manage highly productive sales channels to deliver against objectivesInternal partnering skills to effectively work with enablers within the business such as Product, Marketing, SCM and Retail teamsHigh level of business & commercial acumen with ability to negotiate terms and contracts is requiredFlexible, adaptable/agile and able to manage multiple priorities and changes whilst delivering optimal outcomesExcellent relationship management, communication and presentation skills; and able to gain alignment from key stakeholders both internally and externally
