Salmon Earthmoving is seeking a skilled and qualified Diesel Fitter to join our Field Service team. As a Field ServiceDiesel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our on-site project fleets ensuring that they operate at peak performance levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical issues in a timely manner.
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts as necessary.
- Performing scheduled servicing of equipment to prevent unexpected downtime.
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with industry regulations.
Main Tasks:
- Inspecting, testing, and adjusting equipment for optimal performance.
- Documenting all maintenance and repairs accurately.
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to prioritise tasks and maintain workflow efficiency.

- Heavy Diesel or Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate (essential).
- Experience on CAT diagnostic systems or similar.
- A “can do” attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to carry out performance testing and adjustments after repairs.
- A strong commitment to WH&S policies and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised as required.
- Valid manual driver license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
