Diesel Fitter (Site Based)

Torque Enterprises Pty Ltd seeks skilled Diesel Fitters to join our Moolarben Team on a full-time basis. As a privately owned and operated company, Torque Enterprises is experiencing rapid expansion in Australia's mining sector. Headquartered in Mackay, Queensland, we operate across the Mudgee, Wollongong, Newcastle, and Maitland regions of New South Wales.

We are seeking interested applicants to fill (x1) DAY SHIFT positions:

• (x1) Friday to Sunday (Weekend Day Shift)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintenance and repairs on Explosion Protected Diesel Powered Underground Coal Mining Equipment
• Maintenance and repairs to surface equipment as requested.
• OEM design upgrades and improvement
• Overhauling and fitting machine components
• Maintenance and repairs to mine auxiliary equipment such as QDS attachments, trailers, and sleds as examples
• Test driving vehicles and machinery to gauge performance
• Completion of statutory maintenance work orders
• Equipment site introduction tasks
• Torque Enterprises product support tasks as required
• Ensuring Torque Enterprises vehicle and tooling are maintained

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate 
• Explosion Protected Diesel Engine System Certificate 
• Order 43
• Mobile underground diesel experience
• Twelve months mine site experience preferably underground
• Hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience
• Driver’s License
• High Risk Work Licence in Forklift (LF) preferred
• Strong commitment to safety, company procedures and policies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve deadlines
• Moolarben Coal Operations Site Induction (Preferred)
