Truckmech Diesel Repairs are seeking an experienced and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our staff on a full-time basis, working on an array of different vehicles and systems.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing to accurately identify issues
- General service and repair works on a change of vehicle types
- Ensuring work is carried out to a consistently high standard
- Complete job cards and report work status to our Head Technician
- Keep the working area tidy and see that all tools and spare parts are properly stored
- Other typical duties of a Diesel Mechanic
Skills and experience
- Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications (minimum of cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
- Experience with engine rebuilds, clutches & gearboxes is advantageous
- Keen diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Familiarity with the layout of European, American, and Japanese trucks
- Ability to work effectively within a team and autonomously
- Driver’s license
- Reliable punctuality and time management skills
