We are seeking qualified heavy vehicle mechanics who will work as a part of our Repairs & Service Team who are responsible for maintenance, repairs and servicing of road transport equipment including pre-delivery and accessories fitment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and repair orders instructions, to meet specified quality, safety and general performance criteria.
- Diagnose, service and repair as requested by customers
- Attend to roadside breakdowns when required
- Ensure KDM tools are maintained and returned to allocated areas
- Rotate across full scope of tasks assigned to workshop as required
- Perform work to meet the requirements of customers within allocated timeframes
- Clock on and off job cards using a computer terminal and Auto IT
- Carry out all warranty work as per warranty guidelines
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (Australian Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanics)
- Ability to complete high-quality work unsupervised
- Keen to enhance and grow their current knowledge and skills
- Good written and communication skills
- Cummins and MX PACCAR /DAF engine knowledge
- Eaton, Dana & Meritor knowledge
- General servicing experience
- Diagnostic and analytical skills, particularly software based Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience
