- Conduct and maintain regular inspection of all fleet, plant, vehicles and equipment
- Key contact for breakdowns including onsite, on road after business hours and maintenance scheduling during business hours.
- Ensure proper function of CMS including repairs (where applicable)
- Assist in the procurement of inventory in relation to the maintenance of all vehicle, mobile plant and equipment
- Ensuring workshops are clean and maintained to ensure safety of all users
- Recommend changes to improve fleet reliability and maintenance outcomes
- Adhering to policies and procedures including Workplace, Health and Safety
- Compliance with state and federal legislation/regulations
- Diesel Mechanic Qualification
- Experience in road transport, auto electrical and/or earthmoving equipment maintenance (experience in diesel vehicles, heavy plant and machinery is desirable)
- Exposure to forklift repairs are highly regarded but not required for success in this role
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- A valid manual driving license
- A Heavy Combination (HC) Truck license is advantageous
