With multiple construction projects nationwide, opportunities are available for a motivated, dependable, and experienced Diesel Mechanic who has the capacity to travel interstate. The successful candidate will have proven experience in fault finding, with a focus on auto electrical and experience using CAN systems.
Candidates with all-round experience in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical work are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to inspect, diagnose and repair faults on complex mechanic services, heavy mobile plant, and equipment.
- Repair/replacement of work and/or faulty components or equipment, and modifications as required.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and testing on mechanical services and plant and equipment sourcing parts as required.
- Safe isolation of mechanical and electrical services.
- Cleaning and maintaining mobile plant and equipment.
- Takes pride in achieving a high standard of workmanship and productivity.
- Maintaining a safe environment by promoting and adhering to the Company’s standards.
- General project site duties.
- Ability working a FIFO roster.
Essential skills & qualifications
Experienced Diesel Mechanic, with:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
- Certificate II/III in air conditioning technology (desired).
- Demonstrative experience with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical (allrounder).
- Construction Industry White Card is essential.
- Current Driver’s Licence essential, with clean driving record.
- Forklift Licence essential.
- High Risk Work Licence desirable.
- Working Safely at Heights desirable.
- Confined Space Ticket desirable.
- Welding experience desirable.
- TOT are provided; however candidates are able to bring their own.
