The Opportunity
As a Heavy Vehicle Transport mechanic you will be responsible for all aspects of plant and equipment maintenance, preventative and reactive tasks to a wide variety of road transport vehicles, plant and equipment, including but not limited to Volvo, Isuzu, Scania etc.

What you’ll be responsible for
- To service maintain and repair plant, equipment and fleet vehicles in a timely manner
- Housekeeping of the workshop
- Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner
- Complete work orders and part requisitions daily and in full
- Record, monitor stock and part levels and advise any discrepancies
- Participate in after hours breakdown assistance
- Be a safety champion in the workplace
What you’ll need to be successful
- Relevant trade certificate in heavy vehicle road transport or equivalent
- Forklift licence (Desirable)
- Confined Space (Desirable)
- Work at Heights (Desirable)
- Drivers licence
- Truck licence (HR/ HC desirable but not mandate)
- Experience in similar role
