THE POSITION
We have an exciting opportunity for a keen and suitably qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team located in Port Lincoln. Tasks for this position include, but not limited too:
- Rectify problems on Diesel mechanical equipment and vessels.
- Repair and maintenance of folding cranes and associated hydraulics
- Undertake the servicing, maintenance and regular inspections of machinery and equipment as required.
- Undertake preventative maintenance as required.
- Receiving and reviewing daily jobs and/or ongoing jobs and prioritising schedules
- Ensure job documentation, workshop drawings, job tasks and inspections are signed and dated, as per company guidelines
- Diagnose faults and perform operational and routine maintenance as required.
- Ensure all work is inspected as per company guidelines
- Always undertake a high level of WHS Standards and strong commitment to safety.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this position you must hold the following attributes:-
- Trade certification
- Previous experience in the marine industry
- Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings.
- High level of problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Keen and have a good level of fitness.
- Punctual and reliable and available to undertake additional hours if required.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as unsupervised.
- Able to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical including drug screening.
