Hunter Valley Private Hospital is looking to employ a casual Technical Dietary Assistant to join our busy food services department. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.
Our team works together to provide safe and clinically appropriate nutrition from food, beverages and specialised nutrition products to hospital patients.
As a Technical Dietary Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Menu monitoring ensuring patients are receiving the correct food as per dietary requirements.
- Quality control - Ensuring that all food leaving the kitchen is to the same high standard every time.
- Menu selection with patients as required.
- Supply of supplements to patients.
Other kitchen duties as required.
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is an 83 bed facility with 5 theatre Operating Suite, providing medical, rehabilitation, surgical and day surgery services.
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding and application of support to clinical dietitians
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong focus on patient care and customer service
- Ability to follow diet protocols, safe operating procedures
- Strong computer skills and experience in quality improvement
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
