The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Assist and support the dietitians in providing quality patient care in line with evidence based, best practice
- Provide education on pre-determined nutrition areas, to patients, staff or other key stakeholders
- Implement and monitor the nutritional care of patients requiring nutrition support
- Liaise with food services staff and dietitians regarding the provision of special diets for patients
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Certificate III Nutrition or Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance or education in area of nutrition would be well regarded
- Blue card (GCH will cover cost)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $66 478 - $69 885 per annum

The Nutrition and Food Services department is committed to safe, effective optimal nutrition management for adult and paediatric patients as wells as education and training, credentialing and scope of clinical practice, performance management reports, evidence-based care, monitoring of variation in clinical practice and health outcomes.
