Tell me more...Provide professional, best practice, contemporary dietetics assessment and intervention services to patients accessing health services across the Cooktown cluster within the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service to prevent, manage and treat nutrition related conditions, in a manner reflective of principles from the enhanced primary health care approach, as utilised in the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ability to deliver medical nutrition therapy to inpatients and outpatients with acute and/or chronic conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of patients, staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to apply established professional principles and guidelines to routine dietetic clinical services and undertake quality improvement activities to enhance dietetic service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability or ability to acquire the skill to provide guidance to less experienced staff and tertiary Dietetics students, under the clinical practice supervision of more senior practitioners.
