Donor Republic is a full-service creative agency, working exclusively with charities and not-for-profits. We’re one of the leading agencies creating peer-to-peer Fundraising Events (think Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk) – and we need another wordsmith to join our growing team.
This role will suit someone with 5-plus years’ experience creating response-focused digital copy – particularly for in-depth eDM journeys.
Experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred but not essential. The most important thing is that you have a solid creative craft, and want to learn how use it to grow to Australia and New Zealand’s biggest charity events – and make them even better.
Peer-to-peer Fundraising Events are all about getting people to do something fun (or challenging), while raising money for a good cause. Which means you’ll need to be comfortable writing copy that’s conversational, informal, energetic and sometimes a bit irreverent.
And you’ll be doing that not-for-profit organisations of all sizes, covering animal welfare, health and research, social justice, global development – and plenty more.
The role reports to the Creative Director (Digital Individual Giving & Events) and can be split between home and your closest Donor Republic office in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane. We also have a team in Auckland (if you’re based in NZ).

Key skills required:
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling
- Direct response copywriting experience in digital
- Experience working in a charity or in an agency environment highly desirable
- Strong communications skills and ability to work closely with colleagues and clients
- A qualification in communications, writing (or equivalent experience)
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, located in Sydney or Melbourne to be considered for this role.
