Kmart Group is looking for a Continuous Improvement professional with experience in digital transformation. Reporting to the Head of Digital Product Development, this newly created role forms part of a frontier team to leverage world leading technologies across product management, Ai, & 3D to optimise Kmart Groups E2E digital product development ecosystem.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in Process Optimisation across digital platforms in an enterprise retail/product development environment, (Merchandise PLM experience highly desirable but not a must) together with experience working in either project management or technology delivery. This role requires forward thinkers with a desire to innovate & drive process efficiencies across digital platforms. A key aspect of the role is a proven ability in complex problem solving and prioritisation of competing workloads across large scale digital transformation projects.

What you’ll be doing

As a Digital Optimisation Analyst working for Kmart you will be:          

  • Benchmarking/Quantification of digital systems and processes to create a measurable baseline.
  • Leading and delivering initiatives that drive continuous improvement across merchandise digital system and processes.
  • Developing and delivering reporting for new initiatives, showing accurate results of trials.
  • Supporting governance of system testing and validation of workstream deliveries.
  • Reviewing and aligning activities and operations, integrating customer feedback, developing & implementing improvement strategies.
  • Optimising critical path process design to minimize disruption and avoid waste.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure interdependencies are accounted for in the implementation & deployment of processes.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Continuous Improvement, Process Optimisation, Product Management, Digital Transformation or experience in related field.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Engineering or related field or experience.
  • Understanding of Merchandise operations processes & systems.
  • (desirable but not a must)
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma/or Design Thinking practical application, competent understanding of Waterfall & Agile project methodology.
  • Proactive to drive innovation with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to engage with key stakeholders to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find practical solutions.
  • Strong customer focus with a passion for delivering process optimisation.
  • Experience in a fast-paced high performing retail or FMCG environment with strong knowledge.
