Digital Solutions Architect

Our client AGL are seeking an experienced Digital Solutions Architect to join them on a contract basis. This will be based in Melbourne in a hybrid working environment. This will be for an initial six months duration with a potential to extend for longer.

Key purpose of this role (and team)
The Architecture team provides thought leadership to identify opportunities to take an enterprise approach to transforming a business capability. They take a structured approach to understand business problems, identify synergies across Business Units and create a compelling case for change to invest in delivering enterprise outcomes using shared technology platforms to provide cost effective, flexible, and fit for purpose solutions.
The Solution Architect role has the following key purposes:

• Are the lead technology advisor for projects/initiatives, that helps design “fit for purpose” technology solutions that are aligned with architecture principles, patterns, policies and standards.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to co-create solutions that are aligned to business requirements and anchored on delivery realities with cost, timelines, quality, risk, and strategic market positioning in mind.
• Improve productivity and competency of overall architecture community through active participation in architecture ceremonies, knowledge sharing, collaboration, continuous improvement mindset, proactive feedback and general support for other team members.
• Stay aligned with broader strategic initiatives and adhering to architectural guardrails and strategic architectural roadmaps, and collaboratively impact assess any changes from IT programs to ensure efficiency, optimising cost, and technical debt implications.

You will have:

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect working for multiple large initiatives in complex environments
• Proven experience working as a Digital Solution Architect (or similar)
• Relevant experience in either Energy and/or Telco
• Tertiary qualification majoring in technology or technology-related subjects, or appropriate industry experience
• Advanced understanding of integration, data, infrastructure and security concepts with a deep knowledge of how these can be implemented across the Enterprise and leveraged to drive delivery efficiencies and great customer outcomes.
• Proven experience working at a senior level in a matrix organisation in which results are driven through influence.
• Broad and hands-on experience in performing a variety of architecture roles including Business Architect, Enterprise/Domain Architect, Application Architect, Data Architect, and Security Architecture across various industry sectors.
