We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Digital Space Technician to join our Systems team.

• Full time continuing | 36.25hrs per week
• Based at our Bebegu Yumba campus in Townsville
• HEWL 5: $72,059 - $81,732 plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits

WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE 

The Digital Space Technician provides first-level AV support to the University in the use of specialised technical videoconferencing, audio-visual and associated systems support across a range of digital and physical workspaces, ensuring customer needs are met and quality performance outcomes are achieved.  Ensuring AV technology at JCU is operational, functional and secure by diagnosing and resolving routine faults.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE 

• Degree qualifications or a combination of relevant experience and education.
• Experience in resolving technical faults and providing customer support in a videoconferencing and audiovisual environment.
• Informed analytical and problem-solving skills to judge shifting priorities and work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in a range of software packages and an ability to adapt to other desktop software quickly.
• Experience in the use and support of Cisco Telepresence systems, AV Control, audio and display systems (desirable).
• Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to maintain highly effective working relationships.
