The Centre
A beautiful medium-sized, purpose-built Montessori centre located close to public transport routes and local schools in the suburb of Kotara in Newcastle is seeking a Diploma Educator and Early Childhood Teacher to join their wonderful team. With small group settings and calm, inviting outdoor, and indoor learning environments, this centre fosters a safe and secure environment where children are supported to develop positive relationships, self-confidence, resilience and skills for life. With a long-standing team and a great workplace culture, you'll be joining a locally renowned centre passionate about providing high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months - 6 years.
The Role
Permanent part-time positions, 3-4 days per week, up to 36 hours per week
Toddler or preschool age group
Respectfully communicate and form meaningful relationships with children, and families
Work collaboratively with your colleagues to implement the Montessori approach into everyday practice and learning (no previous Montessori experience required)
Observe and document children's learning, and development in line with the Early Years Learning Framework
Provide children with rich learning opportunities and experiences that foster their individual development

About You
A current Working with Children Check
Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or Early Childhood Teaching Degree (or working towards, or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
A willingness to learn about the Montessori approach and implement this into your practice as an Educator
