Diploma Trained Educator - Sessional Kindergarten - Preston

My client, a lovely standalone kindergarten in the inner north of Melbourne is seeking an educator for a part time role to support their Kinder Teacher.

Their focus is to provide nurturing child care with a holistic approach to teaching that engages children's curiosity and helps them gain confidence. As the ​educator you will be​ ​supporting the kinder teachers in providing creative programs to extend children's learning . ​Access to ongoing professional development and training will be provided to you​.

They are paying under the VECTEA award - you will be paid for all school holidays and work the shifts during school terms.​

The role:

As the ​Educator you will be responsible ​:

• Supporting the teachers to plan and implement play based programs for the 3-4 year old children which will get them ready for school.
• Communicate positively with the children and families, being a role model for all educators and a trusted advisor for families
• ​Supervise children within the program and meet there care requirements
• Be available for educators to bring ideas to you, create discussions
• Be reliable, respectful and work constructively with your colleagues and other professionals

Essential criteria

• A ​Diploma of Children's Services or Certificate 3 in Children Services
• A current WWCC
• 2 references that can attest to you working with children
• Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain​.
