Reporting to the Chief Practitioner and forming part of the Office of Professional Practice's Executive Leadership team, the role is responsible for the delivery of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing's strategy for Child Sexual and criminal Exploitation Responses. This includes leading the development of an intelligence tool and function to detect and share information with Victoria Police about Child Sexual Exploitation.
The position may also lead or contribute to responses focused on sexual abuse and exploitation of children and young people involved with child protection. The position requires leadership experience in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of strategic policy and project management, as it relates to Child Sexual abuse and exploitation impact, prevention, justice or closely related fields.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE * Develop and oversee the department's strategy for Child Sexual and criminal Exploitation Responses.
- Develop and maintain a tool for early detection and intelligence sharing with Victoria Police on Child Sexual Exploitation of children.
- Implement associated projects within time and budget; lead the development and ongoing management of new technology and associated processes for information gathering and analysis to deliver outcomes.
- Provide overall guidance to government and the broader sector regarding evidence informed initiatives, approaches and strategies aimed at targeting Child Sexual and criminal exploitation and abuse.
