Industry stakeholders and the community are also able to engage with the QBCC online or over the phone.With 5.5 million people currently living in Queensland and more than 200,000 of those residents working in the construction sector, the QBCC has an important task in serving our customers, contributing to the growth of the Queensland economy, and regulating the industry.About the Role and YouReporting to the Assistant Commissioner Regulatory Standards and Support, you will be responsible for leading compliance and enforcement across the project trust framework, licensees obligations under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 and the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (Minimum Financial Requirements) Regulation 2018 and sub-contractor non-payment, to deliver high-quality contemporary regulation in the building and construction industry.Key to your success is your ability to effectively communicate complex matters of Financial Compliance and enforcement. Further, possessing a financial and/or legal background will enable you to provide the Commission and QBCC Board with expert advice on Financial Compliance and enforcement matters including best practice methodology for delivering this function.You will come with exceptional communication skills, be a go getter, have a creative mindset and innate desire to seek out improvements.
