The Role
Ministerial and Executive Coordination and Communication Division (MECC) operates in a high tempo environment and is high profile by the nature, servicing the top tier executives and supporting the Portfolio Ministers and their offices. Our environment is privy to highly sensitive information so confidentiality is critical for our people.
About our Team
Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet enables and facilitates Defence to provide best practice advice and services to the Australian Parliament, Ministers and the Defence Senior Executive. The Branch provides support, advice and information to ensure high standards of compliance with Ministerial, Cabinet and Parliamentary practices.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills, are committed to delivering high quality outcomes on time, thrive in fast paced environments and are good problem solvers. They have strong accountability and high integrity, central to our success and possess high standards for accuracy and detail.
Directors work with independence and are accountable to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational and administrative work within an integrated workforce, supporting the Senior Executive and Ministers. They will require knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policies requirements.
We are seeking experienced leaders and strategic thinkers with an interest in Defence issues. Directors are required to work independently to lead a strategic agenda, proactively identify issues and delivery in a fast passed environment.
