About the role
You will be a member of the senior medical team and will be leading/contributing to the anaesthetic team to provide a coordinated, high quality anaesthetic service for WDHS and surrounding hospitals.
You will provide leadership and management to the Preadmission Clinic at WDHS, airway management and ventilator management support to the WDHS ICU and teaching and development to all professional groups regarding anaesthetic care in the subregion.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking candidates with the following:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia;
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent;
- Broad senior level experience and training in the field of Anaesthetics;
- The ability to operate effectively at a senior clinical level and to lead a multidisciplinary team;
- Ability to communicate openly at all levels with other agencies and clinicians;
- Knowledge of and commitment to quality improvement and clinical risk management;
- Experience in undergraduate medical education and /or post graduate medical teaching would be desirable
- Experience in research in Anaesthetics would be desirable.
