Director of Brand & Marketing (12-month contract, Parental leave backfill)
ACMI is Australia's national museum of screen culture. Based in Melbourne/*Naarm, it is a place for our communities to navigate the universe of film, TV, videogames and art with us. ACMI celebrates the wonder and power of screen culture – fostering the next generation of makers, players and watchers. ACMI's vibrant calendar of exhibitions, screenings, commissions, festivals, and industry and education programs – both in-venue and online – explore the stories, technologies and creators that make our shared screen culture.
We have an exciting role within our Experience and Engagement Team to lead ACMI's Brand & Marketing Group as they deliver strategic marketing, PR & communications, content and social media, as well as video and data analysis activities for the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director of Experience & Engagement, the Director of Brand & Marketing drives the delivery of our overall brand identity, corporate reputation, positioning and profile, and plays a critical role in the implementation of ACMI's audience strategy, developing opportunities to engage new and diverse communities of interest - locally, nationally and internationally.
Our ideal team member will have proven experience at a senior level in delivering dynamic and successful marketing and communications strategies and campaigns, ideally within a mix of cultural and commercial environments. Outcomes-focussed, you will be able to demonstrate the performance of campaigns against organisational objectives. You will have strong leadership skills and the capacity to provide diverse teams with a clear sense of direction, inspiring a positive workplace culture. A skilled relationship builder, you will have extensive experience managing stakeholders with the ability to influence and ensure a collaborative, organisational marketing approach.
