The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) is seeking an experienced health executive to be their Director of Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services to be part of their executive leadership team.
The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) has the responsibility of providing public Hospital and health services to a population of approximately 261,500 people. The outer western region of the Service encompasses extremely remote communities and it is estimated that 12% of the population are Indigenous Australian. The CHHHS is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all people in Far North Queensland across 141,000km2 and employs approximately 6,300 + staff making it the largest employer in the region.
THE ROLEThe Director of Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services is a part of the executive team for Cairns Services and The Director of Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth Services will provide effective leadership, governance and performance of Integrated Medicine, Emergency, Child and Youth (IMECY) Services in partnership with Executive Directors, Service Directors, and Management teams to achieve optimal outcomes in accordance with the strategic direction and the service performance agreement for Integrated Medicine, Emergency Services & patient flow across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service sites & external providers as required.
