• Director of Learning (POL 3)
• Location: Melbourne, South Eastern Suburbs
• Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing teaching role (leadership allowance subject to renewal every 3 years) 
• Start Date: Mid Term 2 2024

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that engages students and aligns with the school's values and educational goals.
• Provide professional leadership, mentoring and support to all staff of the department so that they are able to collaborate effectively in the detailed planning of the curriculum. 
• Implement best-practice pedagogies and effective behaviour management practices across all year levels they teach.
• Engage with the broader community, including parents, alumni, and external organizations, to build partnerships that enrich the program.
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to the College’s values, philosophy, and Catholic ethos and preserve its traditions while also articulating an appropriate vision for the future.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Hold a deep knowledge of the subject matter curriculum and concepts in your subject area(s). 
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students and staff to achieve their best.
• Legal working rights in Australia.
