At Petit LEJ Clifton Hill we are a 150 place growing service looking for a new Centre Director committed to providing exceptional education and care in early childhood.  We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our vibrant and high achieving team at Petit ELJ Clifton Hill. 

We are seeking a leader who highly values partnering with our beautiful families and furthering our local community connections, where you will also foster a growth mindset and love of learning within our education team.  At Petit ELJ Clifton Hill we have a team of achievers, who are highly accountable and responsible within their own studios – so they are a team you can trust!  It is important though that you bring a willingness to be on the floor with the team when the team and children need you.

As our newest Centre Director you will feel highly supported from Day 1 as all four Petit Melbourne centres are located within 30 minutes of one another and our centre leaders are highly connected as a team.  There is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate and bounce ideas and learn from one another with regular catch ups along with our annual Leadership conference across all centres.  We also provide opportunities for our Assistant Centre Directors, Educational Leaders, and Early Childhood Teachers to visit and spend some time at our other services to learn from one another.  You will have wonderful support and regular visits from Julie our Education & Practice Adviser, Mel from HR and Amber from Operations who is highly knowledgeable, present whenever you need, and incredibly supportive in helping you achieve your personal and professional goals.

What you bring:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
  • Diploma of Leadership and Management (ideal however not mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and relevant regulations and legislation
  • Prior experience running a centre, with strong business acumen including effective rostering.
  • Strong leadership and be able to demonstrate that you can inspire, guide, and develop a team of Educators.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills who fosters genuine and warm connections with everyone you meet.
