The Director of Nursing
- Has an advanced level of autonomous decision making for clinical, operational and administrative interventions based on policy and regulatory frameworks
- Will undertake community engagement, partnership and leadership representation with key stakeholders
- Has an advanced level of contemporary, autonomous strategic and operational leadership to multi-disciplinary teams across the Gatton Health Service
- Applies the principles of clinical governance
- Will undertake leadership for enhanced quality and safety of care delivery
- Works collectively to apply the principles of evidenced based care
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and capacity in leadership skills and management practices to engage and motivate stakeholders to achieve quality patient outcomes and productivity targets.
- Demonstrated commitment to outcome-driven performance and organisational achievement.
- Demonstrated proficiency to work effectively within a leadership team to meet the demands of complex healthcare environments in a rural health service.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise effectively with (internal and external) key stakeholders, patients, their families and/or carers.
- Demonstrated advanced level knowledge and understanding of the key concepts of national and state health legislation, policies, frameworks and standards.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the
