About the Role
- Work with the leadership of the College and the Foundation to develop, agree and implement a philanthropic strategy that directs the fundraising and major gift giving programmes of the College. This is a greenfield role;
- Represent the College and advocate the benefits of philanthropic support to the varied groups of potential benefactors within the College and its Alumni;
- Develop and implementation a diverse array of activities including capital campaigns, annual giving, bequests, and mid-level fundraising activities;
- Careful identification and 'high touch' stewardship of donors to build deep and positive relationships; and
- Prepare to a high standard all Board papers, agendas, and budgets. Attend and follow up as required on all Foundation Board meetings [4 pa] + AGM.
About the Person
- High level fundraising experience gained in a corporate, NFP, school or university environment that involves close engagement with a 'blue chip' Board;
- Firsthand experience as the 'face' of the fundraising effort;
- High level nuanced written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail and a desire for excellence in all activities;
- Genuine belief in the value of education;
- Hands-on approach whilst the function is established; and
- Chinese language skills would be helpful, although not essential.
