St Leo’s Catholic College is looking to permanent, 3 point, Director of Professional Growth. As a member of the College Leadership Team, the Director of Professional Growth works collaboratively with the Assistant Principal (Student Achievement) and Director of Learning Improvement to strategically build leader and teacher capacity and expertise.

Specific Criteria

Working collaboratively with teachers at the school you will be responsible for implementing innovative and evidence informed practices that improve outcomes for all. Being prepared to grow and learn is an essential part of this role as we aim to ensure success for all our students.

  • Be committed to the Catholic ethos and values of the College.
  • Be a highly skilled and effective classroom practitioner.
  • Have an outstanding knowledge of NESA Accreditation requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Have experience in planning, developing and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Be an effective communicator who is able to work collaboratively as a key member of the College Leadership Team.
  • Be able to lead a team focused on developing a collaborative culture of improvement.
  • Have experience in developing, planning and implementing evidence based professional learning programs for staff

Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.

Position on COVID-19 vaccinations

Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022. Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
