AddressLake Joondalup Baptist College is an independent PK-12 school serving nearly 1400 students, with a dedicated staff of over 250. Reporting to the Associate Principal – Head of Secondary, and supported by a high-calibre Leadership Team, this position will be responsible for leading LJBC by:
- leading a school-wide commitment to developing a dynamic and innovative curriculum that aligns with the mission of nurturing students to discover and confidently express their unique gifts.
- leading the team responsible for curriculum design, alignment with educational standards, and secondary teacher development and performance;
- ensuring that successful student learning remains the central consideration in all aspects of curriculum development, implementation, and assessment;
- building and promoting relationships with teaching staff based on high levels of trust and respect for their expertise in delivering the curriculum.
- demonstrating a commitment to creating and nurturing Child-safe environments;
- Representing the school positively and with integrity to students, parents, staff and other internal and external stakeholders;
- establishing and maintaining productive partnerships with parents, involving them in the curriculum discussion and development process.
- ensuring the curriculum contributes to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced senior educators. The successful applicant will have a heart for Christian education, share the ethos of LJBC and can demonstrate that they:
- hold a Master’s degree in education or a related field is desirable.
- have extensive experience in educational leadership.
- can demonstrate depth of understanding of educational standards and best practices.
- have relevant registrations.
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- can manage staff performance well with support from HR.
