Mater is looking for a Director, Operational Commissioning and FF&E to join the team. Working on , this maximum-term, full-time role reports to the General Manager, Mater Springfield Stage 1 & 2 and is based at our Springfield site.Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900What you'll be doing
- Provide leadership across all service delivery aspects (clinical and non-clinical) related to the planning and development of the Springfield Stage 2 project to ensure that Mater is operationally ready to deliver clinically safe health services at the conclusion of the building construction/ commissioning phase in late 2025.
- Manage the timely delivery of key project outcomes including the functional design brief, models of care, service design, workforce, orientation and training, FF&E selection and procurement, Operational Commissioning and stakeholder communications.
- Provide high level collaboration, negotiation and communications with a range of internal and external stakeholders and act as the key point of contact and coordination between the project team (encompassing clinical planners, digital and equipment teams, user group representatives, executive forums, etc) and Mater's operational leaders.
- Provide strategic and professional leadership to Mater's broader Springfield project team to ensure alignment with Mater's strategic goals and direction.
- Work closely with the General Manager, Mater Springfield Stage 1 & 2 and Executive Director Regional Health, to ensure project and service delivery is aligned to the broader strategic Health plan.
- Qualifications in health, nursing, clinical science, business, project management, or related discipline
- Tertiary qualification in health, nursing, clinical science, business, project management, or related discipline
- Previous senior experience with the operations of a health service, including FF&E management;
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience in delivering new major capital projects (preferably in healthcare settings); and
- Proven experience of developing, establishing and maintaining robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
