Job description

  • The NSW Ministry of Health’s Government Relations Branch has an opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual that can drive the implementation of strategic plans that deliver on NSW Health priorities.
  • You will be joining a cohesive team that values collaboration and empowerment.

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Public Service senior executive (PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $211,222 to $235,325 per annum will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About the Role

The Director, Policy and Funding Reformand Intergovernmental Relations provides professional and organisational leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic policy frameworks and responses which enable the achievement of NSW Health’s planned outcomes and priorities, in alignment with broader Government objectives.

The role provides leadership in intergovernmental negotiations and forums, including providing expert advice on national funding and governance architecture. For further information, download the role description.

About You

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Policy and Funding mechanisms in the health (or similar industry) environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Commonwealth/State relations.
  • Demonstrated experience in Intergovernmental Relations under the National Cabinet architecture.
