This Transformation Program is revolutionising the way fixed telecommunication business is done and future-proofing Optus Enterprise & Business to thrive with continuously changing internal factors, external competitors, industry trends and new technologies. In the role of Director, Product Transformation you will report directly to the Director of Network Connectivity and work with the entire Transformation Program team, (i.e. Program Director, Program Enterprise Architect, multi-functional squads, Tribe Leads), Business Unit Leads, Transformation Office, and other relevant partners to ensure program alignment and outcomes for the business. This role will focus on using appropriate frameworks as a means towards measurable and sustained business, customer and employee outcomes and will be based out of our Sydney Campus at Macquarie Park.
Your day in the life of as our Director of Product Transformation at Optus
-Defining value streams, high-level business process architecture, business information, and business capability required to bridge the gap between the program vision and execution.
-Ensuring alignment with longer-term Optus strategic goals and confirming the transformation blueprint for the organisation will be delivered by the program i.e. beyond the Fixed business focus of this piece of work.
-Supporting the product lead and product owners in management of business requirements. Ensuring the product is delivered as per the release plan with traceability through to strategic objectives and benefits.
-Working with solution architects, product leads, product owners, business operations, sales, and organisational change management, to ensure the business architecture and technical architecture take a wholistic view across business capabilities and functions. Thereby delivering a successful business transformation for Optus.
-Analyse existing organisational structures and processes to identify strategic opportunities for improvement or ways to better coordinate teams to allow for a more efficient and streamlined process.
-Liaise between sales, marketing, and other departments within the organisation to ensure department goals are aligned and coordinated with the program objectives.
 
Your skills to pay the bills
-Able to take a broad, enterprise-wide view of businesses and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
-Experience using and preparing model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate sophisticated and conflicting information about the business.
-Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives and experience with large scale agile transformations with focus on business and technology working together in teams for organisational change and value delivery.
-In-depth capability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the delivery team and key stakeholders. Furthered by an ability to recognise structural issues within an organisation, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.
