As a catalyst for strategic planning and performance, our office plays a pivotal role in driving forward-looking strategies to address the challenges of todays higher education landscape.
As the Director, Risk & Resilience, you will lead the development and oversight of a comprehensive framework to effectively manage risks across the University. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring alignment with key priorities and objectives while understanding the impact of emerging, inherent, and residual risks on operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the Universitys risk management framework and practices.
- Ensure understanding and alignment of risk management practices across all business units and functions.
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of risk management practices through training and upskilling initiatives.
- Foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide professional advice and assurance services to key University stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees, Audit and Risk Committee, senior management, and various schools and business units.
- Lead the development and delivery of value-add risk management services, such as strategic program health checks.
About you:
- A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., business, economics, project management).
- Extensive experience in risk management in a large, complex environment
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and practices.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive change and foster a culture of risk awareness and Resilience.
- Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., CRM, ARM, PRM) are desirable.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 5 years based at the Hawkesbury Campus (Richmond NSW).
Remuneration Package: A senior remuneration package applies to this appointment.
