Your new company
This Federal Department is responsible for implementing policy which will support a better life for thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability, and their families and carers. You will join the Research and Evaluation Branch, which is responsible for ensuring that agency policies, practices and priorities are informed by trustworthy and robust evidence.
Your new role
As the Director of Targeted Research and Strategic Evaluation, you will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering robust mixed methods Research and evaluations. Your responsibilities include developing program logic models, managing key strategic relationships, and preparing high-quality written evaluation findings. Additionally, you’ll promote evaluative thinking across the Agency and collaborate with the Research and Evaluation Branch leadership team to drive impactful outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and will demonstrate experience in:
- Evaluation Leadership: Demonstrated experience in either state, federal, or consultancy evaluation leadership roles. Your expertise in analytics and statistics will be invaluable.
- Team Management: At least 3 years of experience leading teams in large-scale, complex evaluations (including state/federal programs). Your ability to inspire and guide your team is crucial.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills. You can collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to understand their needs and align program logics and outcomes.
- Designing Evaluations: Independently design evaluations that reflect stakeholders’ and the agency’s needs. Proven track record of delivering end-to-end formative and impact evaluations. Your work has informed positive changes in programs and policies.
- Methodological Expertise: Experience using a range of sophisticated methods, including quantitative, qualitative, and economic approaches. You understand the importance of participant-centered research
