The Director of Technology & Security is a senior management position providing strategic leadership and support to the SATC for its information and communications technology (ICT) platforms, enterprise systems, data strategy, digital transformation and cyber/data security. The incumbent will create and implement a long-term plan that defines technology, processes, people and rules required to manage the SATC’s information assets and demonstrate how technology can deliver value to the business and more broadly to the tourism industry.
The incumbent will use digital technologies and enterprise systems to create new – or evolve existing - business processes, customer experiences, build capabilities and spur new opportunities to meet changing business requirements. This includes keeping abreast of and implementing emerging technologies, whilst ensuring the SATC continues to meet ongoing governmental standards of ICT security. The role is responsible for leading a team to ensure they maintain a high level of customer service, deliver ICT service / support and innovative and effective technical solutions for the SATC.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Technology platforms and ICT service delivery.
• Data strategy and digital transformation across the SATC and for the tourism industry.
• Security and governance, including fulfilling the role of the SATC’s Information Technology Security Adviser.
• Information and records management in accordance with the State Records Act 1997.
• Conract management, including across Government ICT contracts.
• Management of a small team.
• Provide high level advice to the Executive leadership team on the SATC’s strategic technology needs, and current and future information technology capabilities.

The role will be offered as a 5-year Non-Executive contract at an attractive renumeration level.
