Job Summary:
We are seeking vibrant and energetic individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers for our upcoming Vacation Care Program in Cairns. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of participants during the program.
Responsibilities:
Provide personalized support to participants with disabilities, fostering independence and inclusion.
Assist with daily activities, including recreational and educational activities, outings, and personal care tasks.
Foster a safe and supportive environment, promoting positive interactions and social engagement among participants.
Collaborate with fellow team members and program coordinators to ensure the smooth operation of the Vacation Care Program.
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with participants, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Enthusiasm for making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Relevant qualifications in Disability Support or a related field desirable.
