Disability Support Worker to work for SILC (NDIS Provider) at PaRA Cooperative (a friendly family governed home for 3 men in their early 30s on Autism Spectrum in the Chatswood/Lane Cove area. Mon, Wed & Thurs: 7am – 10am
Thurs 2pm -9pm
There will be opportunities to add extra shifts as they arise.
Hourly Rate of Pay as Casual
Weekdays $49.00
The successful applicant must care for the residents that you will be supporting. You will work as part of a great team and will have frequent communications with the parents to best support the residents develop their daily living skills, participate in the community and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.. Experience is desirable but paid training will be provided.
You will be required to obtain NDIS Worker Clearance and you must have a driver’s licence and car. You must have a current First Aid certificate ( or commit to obtaining one before commencing your role )

Supporting Independent Living Co-operative (SILC) is seeking to employ a Casual employee who is keen to join a great team that support 3 men with autism in their early 30s in their home in Chatswood.
SILC is a NDIS Supporting Independent Living Provider that supports families to operate a family governed supported accommodation home for their loved ones with disability.

PaRA Co-operative is a not-for-profit that runs the home for the three men under the SILC NDIS Provider umbrella. The three men have lived together at the home for over 10 years.

As a member of the team, you will be:
- Providing high-quality person-centered living experience to residents and their families.
- Ensuring you understand and comply with SILC’s policies and procedures relevant to the role.
- Maintaining and championing safe working practices and associated safety registers.
- Completing Shift Notes and Incident Reports compliant with SILC reporting requirements and corrective actions are implemented.
- Recording resident data reports, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, food preparation and routine implementation.
- Contribute to team meetings, supervisions and resident planning.
- Representing the NDIS principles of inclusion and sustainability by ensuring that behaviour support plans, participant goals, activity plans, functional community access programs are active and relevant.
- Suggesting ways to improve practices to improve the lives of the residents and the effectiveness of the team.
