Carespace Australia is a registered NDIS service provider with a mission to empower individuals living with disabilities. We offer tailored services for complex in-home care, personal care, community access, short stay accommodation, respite, skill building and SIL Housing.
Whilst in the client’s home, there will be a few core activities that you’ll ace such as:
- Providing personal care (e.g. showering and dressing) to promote health and well-being.
- Medication administration & assistance.
- Meal preparation, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and other household duties (the small stuff makes a huge difference!)
- Supporting social access such as taking clients to appointments and helping them pursue social/leisure activities.
- Working to meet the unique needs of the client by following their individualized care plans and helping them achieve their defined goals.
Qualifications & experience:
- A genuine passion to make a difference in someone’s day – ideally Previous experience within disability /aged care
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to assist someone with their day-to-day activities.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain – we can help there if required.)
- Current Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence with no restrictions.
- A reliable, roadworthy, licensed and fully insured vehicle.
- First Aid/CPR certificate – less than 12 months old (training can be provided.)
- A Certificate III or higher in a relevant discipline.
- Working With Children Check
- Manual Handling
