About the role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to join our team and assist our lovely clients located in Drysdale, Ocean Grove and Clifton Springs on an ongoing basis.
Duties include:
Community access, personal care, domestic assistance, companionship
Available shift times are:
- Clifton Springs: Monday to Sunday 8:00 - 10:00
- Drysdale: Monday 15:30 - 19:30, Tuesday 10:15 - 14:15, Thursday 10:15 - 13:15
- Ocean Grove: Monday & Friday 10:15 - 15:15, Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 - 14:00
About yourself:
- An strong understanding of Disability Support work with a person-centered approach
- Excellent communication skills, compassionate and approachable
- Able to build a strong rapport with your clients while maintaining professional standards
- Reliable and flexible to meet clients needs
- The ability to impact each individual's life offering support with independence, empowerment, and inclusion in the community
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of recent experience in providing personal care support to clients in a disability, community, hospital or aged care setting
- Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support. Nursing students with 6-8 weeks of nursing placement experience can also apply.
- Current Australian driving licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Current first aid certificate (or willing to obtain)
