We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join us in providing exceptional care to our clients, who has a spinal cord injury. We are looking for trained staff who can attend bowel care shifts and assist with client's mobility.
About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in our client's daily life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with bowel care shifts, as per the provided schedule, ensuring client's comfort and well-being.
- Supporting client with hoisting, showering, and dressing, maintaining his dignity and independence.
- Mobilizing client with his wheelchair, enabling him to navigate his surroundings with ease.
- Ensuring client is ready for work and assisting with breakfast and lunch preparation to help him start his day on the right note.
- Adhering to scheduled shifts and arriving punctually to ensure continuity of care and reliability.
Shifts Requiring Coverage:
- Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Sunday: 6:00am to 8:00am
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 6:00am to 8:00am
Your certificates and licenses
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Certificate III or IV in individual support, disability or equivalent
- Australian driver's license and your own fully insured vehicle
- NDIS Orientation Module (Quality, Safety and You)
