We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a contractual basis. Successful candidates will work collaboratively in a 24/7 shift environment, providing comprehensive support to a client with complex behavioural needs. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of support services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily assistance, personal self-care, and continence aid support to the client.
- Facilitate community access and assist the client in engaging with the community.
- Administer medication to the client on time.
- Complete shopping and grocery tasks on behalf of the client.
- Attend to daily domestic tasks.
- Maintain detailed daily notes and sleep logs.
- Assist the client in capacity-building activities.
- Communicate effectively with the client's family regarding all incidents and events.
About You:
- Self-motivated, positive, and open-minded.
- Possess effective communication skills and strong English literacy.
- Demonstrate exceptional teamwork abilities to support and enable the client.
- Experienced in managing complex behaviors.
- Willingness to tackle challenging situations with a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with or supporting clients with complex behaviours.
- Hold a valid First Aid Certificate.
- Own a personal vehicle and possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Completed NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Possess a valid Working With Children Check.
- Current ABN (Australian Business Number).
- Have your work insurance.
- Provide a copy of your Qualifications/Certificates.
- Supply references with contact phone numbers.
