About the Company:
Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.
The Role:
We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to partner with our male participant based in Thornlands, QLD. Our participant recently sustained a Spinal Cord injury in 2018 and requires assistance with domestic tasks, care prompting and community access.
The participant has a current care plan in place which requires support of 25 hours a week with 5 hours day shifts on weekdays from Monday to Friday, the timings will be flexible for the right candidate.
Pay Rates:
- Day - $38.75 per hour
- Public Holiday - $85.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with personal care prompting
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
- Community access + rehab appointments
Skills & Experiences:
- Australian Driver Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Blue Card
- Current Yellow Card
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Support Effective Communication Module
- Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
