Hunter Supports was established in 2021 and has been rapidly growing since! We are a friendly, family run company, providing Disability Support Services to NDIS participants in the Maitland, Newcastle and Hunter region. We specialise in mental health, intellectual disability, psychosocial recovery and mild physical disabilities. We provide services such as:

- Self-care activities
- Group activities/excursions
- ILO home
- Domestic assistance
- Employment support

Essential Criteria
- NDIS worker check and/or Police check
- First aid/CPR
- Full driver’s licence
- Own car with fully comprehensive insurance
- WWCC
- NDIS orientation and induction modules
- Have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- Demonstrated caring approach to providing quality supports and achieving goals
Desirable but not essential
- Experience with mental health support
- Cert III or higher in individual support/community services
- Special interests that may be able to be shared with participants to skill build
Tasks & responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 support to NDIS participants with mental health, psychosocial and intellectual disabilities
- Providing supports within an ILO home
- Assisting participants with activities of daily living, community participation and skill development
- Assisting participants to attend medical and therapy appointments
- Supporting participants with personal hobbies
- Engaging with participants in conversation and fun activities
