Form of workLife With Choice Care is seeking highly experienced, compassionate, and motivated casual SUPPORT WORKERS to join our team in Shepparton Victoria. We are seeking workers with proven experience in supporting individuals with a disability.
Responsibilities:
Providing care and support to our participants, including those with challenging behaviors of concern.
Implementing PBSP strategies when needed
Effective management of challenging situations.
Assistance with medication administration
- Domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and vacuuming.
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
- Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility.
- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Transportation and supporting social engagement.
The successful applicant will be:
Flexible schedule availability and capacity to work rostered shifts.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Able to work under pressure without any supervision.
Calm and confident demeanor in challenging environments
Engaging, fun and creative
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Working with Children Card
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Minimum Cert III or IV in Disability or higher qualification in the relevant field
Minimum of 2-year experience in supporting people with disabilities or age care.
A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
