THE ROLE
Disabled Carer (includes Personal Care Worker) is responsible for assisting in the provision of quality direct care services for people living with disabilities, who have a range of support needs, including high support. To support the delivery of community-focused services that are centered around individual client needs, and which ensure positive relationships with families.
DUTIES
Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as Personal Care, meal preparation, and household chores.
• Supporting individuals to participate in community activities, social events, and educational programs.
• Implementing individualized care plans and goals under the guidance of the NDIS plan and our care coordinators.
• Promoting independence, skill development, and self-confidence among clients.
• Always Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
• Maintaining accurate records and progress reports for documentation purposes.
Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic support and care.
Requirements:
• A genuine passion for helping people with disabilities and a caring, empathetic nature.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and evenings, based on client needs.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing situations effectively.
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
