Dispatch Assistant

We are looking for a detail orientated team member to assist the dispatch team with daily operations. You’ll ensure all documentation, orders and labels are up to date and correct, whilst maintaining a high standard for your work environment.

The ideal candidate will be reliable and able to work with great attention to detail whilst maintaining a safety-first focus. You’ll be naturally curious about problems, have a willingness to learn and be open to improvement. We are a tight-nit team that loves to get our hands dirty from the top down, so being hands on and a team player are essential in our workplace.

Purpose: Ensure all dispatch documentation, labeling and orders are correct and up to date.

Employment type: casual, flexible work hours available

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Label generation & application.
• Ensure the labeling information is compliant with customer requirements.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure that labels are printed and applied correctly.
• Maintain label inventory and communicate any potential issues that may affect production in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and resolve labeling issues.
• Ensure the order boards are correct and updated in a timely manner.
• Communicate changes that may impact the daily production plan to the appropriate operators.
• Troubleshoot printer, tablet & scanner errors.
• Notify your manager of anything that may threaten or compromise people, property or quality incl. pests, disease, defects, contaminants, health and safety risks, etc.
• Comply with company policies and procedures:

  • Employment conditions
• Any other duties as reasonably requested of you by your manager.
• Ensure regular clean-down procedures are followed, and to the standard required.

Requirements:

• Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling products.
• Ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
• Basic computer skills to operate labeling software and printers.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines. 
• Strong communication & people skills.
• Health and safety focused.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
