The Role
We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our Distribution team. Reporting to the Distribution Sales Manager, you will work as an integral member of the team driving revenue growth and profitability across all assigned Distributor accounts/ Channel partners new and existing. In this role you will use your effective account management skills to execute sales strategies through new business development and maintaining existing business while maximising market presence of our product portfolio.
This role can be based in NSW or QLD. Join us in shaping success through collaborative sales excellence!
Key Responsibilities:
Maximise market presence by spending time in the field with Channel Partners and end-user customers
Follow a strategic Channel Partner call plan and analyse Channel Partners' sales data to continue to drive the sales of the full portfolio
Analyse Channel Partners Websites to ensure Baxter products, promotional products, and all details are accurate when representing Baxter Healthcare
Monitor competitor products Channel Partners are promoting on a weekly cycle
Prepare and present quarterly reviews for Channel Partners in consultation with the Commercial Team
Demonstrate and provide in-servicing and training to Channel Partners sales teams, customer service teams, and potential and existing customers
Ensure Channel Partner Account Managers are technically competent through in-service presentations, one-on-one training, peer education, and supply of information.
Work with your Sales Manager to negotiate prices within defined schedules and guidelines
Attend corporate events as required including Sales meetings and conference
Effectively resolve customer complaints and liaise with Management, Customer Service, and Field Service to ensure customer satisfaction
Support and participate in sales promotions and marketing activities
Coordinate and assist training for Medical Schools, inclusive of Student presentations, and product demonstrations
Monitor and control local inventory issues for the relevant products
Ensure the CRM is kept updated to ensure effective reporting
Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the relevant Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) legislation.
Work within and actively promote Baxter Healthcare core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
Key Requirements of the role include:
Tertiary degree in Medical Science, Healthcare, Business, Management or related fields
3-5 years’ experience working in a commercial/sales role within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry is desirable
Knowledge and application of effective selling skills, including value added selling techniques and Key Account Management is preferred
Working knowledge or the Hospital and Healthcare system
Highly developed interpersonal effectiveness and relationship-building abilities
Accountable for achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service
Collaborative approach and ability to work well with others
Willingness to travel interstate as required.
